The SwB Store is divided into a number of ministores, each listing different products such as for Books, eBooks, Audiobooks, Music CDs, Documentaries, Journal Subscriptions, Educational Material Maps and so on. The Books Ministore is what we have started with, and from time to time we will add more.

There are over two hundred journals (in English) that are published in India and the subcontinent, in a range of academic disciplines. Many of these now have online versions.


Listed on this page are peer reviewed open access scholarly journals, in alphabetic order, and below that, subject-wise. The links take you directly to the journal websites, some of which require registration.


There really is an Open World out there: a huge range of Open Access journals… in all manner of subjects. A comprehensive listing of these is maintained by the University of Lund, Sweden, DOAJ, the Directory of Open Access Journals. Very recently Informatics, Bangalore has launched Open J-gate, a portal for the efficient exploration and management of these journals: there are over 3000 open access journals available now via Open J-gate!
